Chef and Owner of Halyards and Tramici Restaurants, Dave Snyder and local Botanical Artist, Hillary Parker have collaborated to create a truly unique cookbook that delights both the palette and the palate. Edible Art “joins an artist’s passion for art with a chef’s passion for food to celebrate the art in both,” proclaims the cookbook’s frontispiece.

Hillary Parker traverses the color spectrum through various fruits and vegetables, painting them in botanical detail and changing the colors gradually with each painting to blend seamlessly through the colors of the spectrum. These visual feasts are then followed by a signature recipe equally exquisite yet surprisingly simple by Chef Dave featuring the subject of Parker’s work of art. A total of fifteen perfectly paired works of art are included each highlighting the subject’s distinct flavors and bold colors.
